To give you an idea of the versatility and musicality
of the band, we've recorded a selection of
jazz band music for you to listen to. The
Mad Dog And The Sophisticats Selection is
designed to show you the style of music they
perform for wedding receptions and other events.
This includes the trad jazz music they perform
as acoustic walkabout musicians. They also
have a more mellow selection of songs to show
you the kind of sophisticated music the jazz
band plays for quieter background music during
a meal.
In the bottom box, the jazz band music is
performed by Mad Dog's Little Big Band. This
is the larger band that is available for hire
to perform big band and swing style jazz music
for dancing.
This is superb Jazz Band Music performed by
one of the top jazz bands in the UK.

Mad Dog and the Sophisticats and Mad Dog's Little
Big Band feature highly acomplished musicians.
The live jazz band is available for hire as
either a compact jazz trio or the more regularly
booked four piece band. For a wedding the jazz
band encourages a more informal ambience than
a string quartet, and therefore the jazz band
music is perfect for a civil ceremony. They
perform before the ceremony and play all the
standards including of course, Here Comes The
Bride and Mendelssohn’s Wedding March.
Mad Dog can expertly perform the Trumpet Voluntary
for Baroque style wedding Entrance music or
to play whilst the wedding register is signed.
As well as performing as walkabout musicians,
where no amplification is necessary, the band
can also perform during dinner. They always
play at the right volume to encourage relaxed
conversation between your guests. See their

They’ve performed at a number of hugely
prestigious live music events in the UK (see
the venues played button on the menu on the
left of the page for more details). Recently
they played for the Royal Ascot company in the
presence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as
working alongside Welsh Operatic Star Katherine
Jenkins. They have also played their delicious
jazz band music at Booadlands in Hampshire.
This is the home of Lord Louis Mountbatten and
it is where the Queen celebrated her wedding
night. |
